Crawling Out of the Wreckage

Can’t Stop the Music in The Bayou

It’s been a long road as The Tailgate Kings have attempted to re-boot following Hurricanes Laura and Delta in Fall of 2020. Tack on a freeze in March, and, well, it’s been rough. That’s not even counting the pandemic that kicked everything off for the entire planet.

As for the entire community of Lake Charles, Louisiana, there’s been few good memories between Joe Burrow winning the National Championship at LSU to Joe Burrow nearly winning the Super Bowl with the Cincinnati Bungles, Bengals…screw it…Burrows!

That said, the radio station that TK used to broadcast out of is gone, and the insurance money will probably never come to repair it.

The Tower has Fallen!

It’s nearly two years later, and there’s still tarps on rooves around houses, and some business have yet to re-open, fighting with insurance companies to make repairs.

TK is ready to go now, though. After a flutter and a fail last year as things were still coming back, they’re ready to go for the 2022 season and beyond, and they’re hungry.

Oh yeah, that’s right, they’ll have even more food and fantasy and fun coming your way. As well as other aspects of sports and pop culture that they’re cooking up behind the scenes.

So, welcome to the show if this is your first time, and welcome back if you’re one of our long-time listeners.

We hope you become family!
