Let Us Pray…

It’s Sunday. Our Saints Day. Let Us Pray!

Lord, let your light shine down on the field and heal the blind refs that we might not get screwed again!

Forgive us our trespasses, but let us avenge our loss to the Rams. We have prayed on this, lord!

All off season, over bottles of Dixie and shots of chilled Grand Marnier, we have prayed…

Last time people prayed–and I mean really prayed, like in this pic from the Turning Point Lounge by Derek Bridges–we did win the Super Bowl.

Saints fans are all thinking the same thing this year: Third time’s a charm.

We’ve had the rug pulled out from under us by the Minneapolis Miracle. We’ve had the refs miss a call and kill all our voodoo magic in the Dome. But this team is good. Real good. How’s the song go? “Time, Time, Time… is on my side.”

You have to feel that way. Last week’s nail-biter against the Texans is some good mojo, too.

The Tailgate Kings are feeling it. Here’s their game break down for Week 2:

Fun Fact: Jay is the lone dissenter in the Kings Court. He has the Saints going 13-3 this season and winning the Super Bowl, but this game is too far from Dome for his liking. Rams, 31-28. But don’t worry. We’ll get our revenge in NOLA this postseason.
